7 answers for this part of Tactico. Everything here lives on /drills.
How do I find a drill in the library?
Browse and filter drills · Pro feature
- Open /drills. You land on the Browse tab, the first of the three tabs (Browse, Animate, Create).
- Type into the search box above the drill list to search by name or topic.
- Tap All, Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced to filter by difficulty.
- Drills are grouped in the list: your own saved drills appear first under 'My Drills', then 'Community' drills, then Tactico's own groups such as Defending, Possession, or Shooting and Finishing.
- Tap any drill in the list to open it on the right.
Tips
- The number next to 'Browse drills' at the top of the list shows how many drills match your current search and filter.
How do I view a drill's diagram and coaching notes?
Open a drill and see its diagram · Pro feature
- In the Browse tab, tap a drill in the left-hand list.
- The diagram opens on the right of the list, or below it on a phone, showing the field, players, and equipment for that drill. Press Play to watch it run.
- A share bar appears above the diagram with Copy link, WhatsApp, Email, Export PNG, and Export PDF.
- The drill you opened is remembered in the page's web address, so you can bookmark or copy it.
Where do my saved drills show up in the library, and how do I delete one?
See and delete your own saved drills · Pro feature
- Open the Browse tab. Drills you saved from the Animate or Create tab appear at the top of the list under 'My Drills'. A drill you saved a moment ago is there as soon as you open the tab.
- Tap a 'My Drills' entry to open it, the same as any other drill.
- To remove one, tap the small x on the right side of its row in the list.
- Confirm the delete when asked. This cannot be undone.
How do I send a drill to my team or another coach?
Share a drill from the library · Pro feature
- Open a drill in the Browse tab.
- In the share bar above the diagram, tap Copy link to copy a public web link, or WhatsApp / Email to send it directly.
- On a phone or browser that supports it, an extra Share button opens your device's own share options.
- Anyone who opens the link sees the drill's diagram, no Tactico account needed. That works for Tactico's own library drills. Your own saved drills and Community drills have no public page, so their links say Drill Not Found: share your own from the Create tab with its Link button.
How do I save a drill's diagram as a picture I can print or post?
Export a drill as a PNG image · Pro feature
- Open a drill in the Browse tab.
- In the share bar above the diagram, tap Export PNG.
- Wait a moment while Tactico builds the image.
- Your browser downloads a branded picture of the drill's diagram, ready to print or post.
How do I get a drill as a PDF handout?
Print or save a drill as a PDF · Pro feature
- Open a drill in the Browse tab.
- In the share bar above the diagram, tap Export PDF.
- Your browser's print dialog opens with the drill formatted as a two-page handout.
- Choose 'Save as PDF' as the destination, then save or print it.
Can Tacti research drills and tactics online for me?
Ask Tacti to research a coaching topic · Pro feature
- Open Tacti and ask him to research a topic, for example: research how academies teach pressing to U12 players. You can also pick Research a topic from the quick actions.
- Tap Review and confirm, check your question and tap Run the research. It takes up to a minute and you are only charged when there is an answer.
- Tacti looks first for the same topic in Tactico's own drills and formation guides, then searches football association and coaching-education websites such as The FA, U.S. Soccer, UEFA and FIFA.
- You get the key points, two or three sample drills or games, and a list of sources. Every point shows which source it came from, and each source is a link you can open.
- Tap Plan a session on this under a sample to start a session plan with that idea as its focus, or open a Tactico drill listed under Already in Tactico.
Tips
- The samples are Tacti's summary of what the sources say, not Tactico content. Open the sources for the full detail.
- If Tacti cannot find a reliable source you are not charged, and the same question asked again within a month is answered from a saved copy at no cost.
