What is Tacti?
Tacti is the AI assistant built into Tactico, the all-in-one coaching platform. It works inside your team, calendar and player records: you tell it what you need in plain words, it prepares the change, and you review and confirm it.
What can Tacti do today?
Tacti does seven jobs for you today. It sets up a team and its players from one sentence, such as creating the U12 Falcons and adding four named players. It schedules recurring weekly training, such as every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. It writes a training session plan that is saved to your Session Planner with PDF export. It researches proven drills and plans from governing bodies such as the FA and U.S. Soccer, with cited sources. It records a player evaluation from a sentence, such as strong at short passing and weak at positioning, across any of the 26 skills. It shows how a player has progressed, or compares two players, from the evaluations you have recorded. And it builds an animated drill from the number of players, the age group, the equipment and the focus. Does Tacti change anything without my approval?
No. Tacti prepares the team, players, training schedule, session plan, evaluation or drill and shows you a preview of exactly what will be saved. Nothing is saved until you confirm, and you can cancel instead.
What are AI credits?
Credits pay for the jobs Tacti does for you. Chatting with Tacti and asking how-to questions is free and uses no credits. Setting up a team and its players costs 3 credits, scheduling weekly training costs 2, an AI session plan costs 5, a research report with cited sources costs 10, a player evaluation costs 1, a progress check or a comparison of two players costs 1, and building an animated drill costs 3. Pro includes 100 credits a month and Pro Plus includes 400. Your monthly credits are used first, then any pack credits you have bought.
What happens to my team data?
Tacti's AI, which is available on Pro, Pro Plus and trial accounts, sends your message and the account content needed to answer it, such as team and player names and saved notes, to Anthropic, PBC (Claude API) to generate a reply. Anthropic processes this data under its Commercial Terms and Data Processing Addendum and does not use API customer content to train its models. Research uses web search through Anthropic. Tacti changes your data only after you confirm. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Is Tacti free?
Free accounts get Tacti's guides and Show me tours. Tacti's AI, the part that sets up teams and players, schedules training, writes session plans, researches drills, records evaluations and builds drills for you, is part of Tactico Pro and Pro Plus, and every Pro trial includes a taste of it.
What do I get in the 7-day free trial?
The 7-day Pro trial gives you full access to Pro, including 5 AI tasks and 30 chats with Tacti so you can try it on your own team. A card is required to start the trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends. Pro Plus has no trial: start on Pro and upgrade once you are subscribed.
What is the difference between Pro and Pro Plus?
Both plans include the same Tacti and everything else in Tactico. Pro includes 100 AI credits a month and Pro Plus includes 400, plus 25% off credit packs. Only Pro has the 7-day free trial. See the pricing page for the current prices.
Do credit packs expire?
No. Credit packs are one-time purchases and the credits never expire. You need Pro or Pro Plus to buy and use them. At launch packs are paid by card, even if your subscription is billed through PayPal. Your monthly credits are spent first, so pack credits stay untouched until you need them.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Chat, guides and Show me tours keep working, because they never use credits. Jobs that need credits pause until your monthly credits renew, you buy a credit pack, or you move up to Pro Plus. We never charge you automatically for extra credits.
Can Tacti write a training session plan?
Yes. Tell Tacti the age group, how many players you have, how long the session is, the equipment you have and what you want to work on. It drafts a plan with a warm-up, main activities, a game and a cool-down. You review it, and once you confirm it is saved to your Session Planner, where you can edit it and export a PDF. A session plan costs 5 credits.
How does Tacti research drills and plans?
Ask Tacti to research a topic, such as pressing drills for U12, and it searches the web for proven drills and plans from governing bodies and coaching education sites such as the FA, U.S. Soccer, UEFA and United Soccer Coaches. It summarises what it finds in its own words and lists every source it used so you can check it. A research report costs 10 credits.
How much does Tacti cost?
Tacti's AI is part of Tactico Pro and Pro Plus, and chatting is free. The jobs Tacti does for you use credits. See the pricing page for the current monthly and yearly prices and for credit packs.
Is Tacti a separate app?
No. Tacti is built into your Tactico account, so the teams and players it sets up, the training it schedules and the session plans it writes appear in the same roster, calendar and Session Planner you already use, and only after you confirm.
Is Tacti for team coaches, private trainers and academies?
Yes. Team coaches use Tacti to set up a squad, schedule weekly training and plan sessions, private trainers use it to add their players and set up recurring sessions, and academies use it to set up many age-group teams quickly.
Which sports does Tacti work with?
Tactico is built for soccer (football), and Tacti works inside it. Its session plans cover soccer and futsal.
Can Tacti record player evaluations, compare progress and build drills?
Yes. Tell Tacti how a player did, such as “Sam was strong at short passing and weak at positioning”, and it turns your words into scores from 1 to 10 on one card. You can adjust any score before you save it to the player's profile. An evaluation costs 1 credit, however many skills it covers. Ask how a player has progressed, or to compare two players, and Tacti reads the evaluations you have recorded and shows what improved and what dropped. That needs at least two recorded evaluations and costs 1 credit, and you are not charged if there is not enough to compare. Describe a drill by its players, age group, equipment and focus, and Tacti builds an animated drill you can play and save to your drills. A drill costs 3 credits, and you are not charged if Tacti cannot build one.
