How do I create an account or sign in?

Sign in, sign up, or continue with Google

1. Open the board at /app and click Sign In at the top right (once you are signed in, that spot shows your avatar), or use any "Sign in" prompt on the page.
2. Click Continue with Google for one-tap sign-in, or fill in the email and password fields and click Sign In.
3. To create a new account instead, click Create Free Account at the bottom of the window. This switches to the sign-up form (name, email, password of at least 6 characters).
4. Click Create Free Account to finish, or Sign up with Google on that screen to sign up with Google in one step.
5. Forgot your password? Type your email in the email field on the sign-in screen, then click "Forgot password?" — a reset link is emailed to you.

Tips

• No credit card is needed for a free account.
• Signing in from the Sign in to save badge, the Sign in line under My Saved Plans, or Share opens the sign-up form first: click Sign in instead at the bottom if you already have an account.

Why does the board stop me and ask me to sign in?

Why am I asked to sign in after a few minutes?

1. If you use the board at /app without signing in, Tactico counts how long you've used it on this device, added up across visits.
2. At 8 minutes a small banner reads "2 minutes left of free access" as a warning.
3. At 10 total minutes of guest use, a full-screen window appears offering a free Pro trial, a free account (3 cloud saves, no credit card), or signing in if you already have an account.
4. Signing in (even for free) removes this limit entirely and lets your work save automatically going forward.

Tips

• Anything you build before signing in is NOT saved anywhere: reload and it's gone. Sign in early if you want to keep it.

Why did Tactico ask me for a review?

The review windows for signed-in free accounts

1. If you're signed in on the Free plan and haven't reviewed yet, a window called Help Us Improve Tactico opens 10 minutes after you open the board, from the second time you open it on this device.
2. Rate it with the stars, write at least 20 characters, tick the consent box, choose how your name shows, and click Submit Review.
3. Or click Maybe later (or the X, or press Escape). It stays away for 7 days, and leaving a review ends it for good.
4. After about an hour of Tactico open on this device in total (added up across visits), a second window appears. Its heading says 30 minutes, but it comes at the hour.
5. In that one you can rate and write a review, click Start 7-Day Free Trial Instead, or click Continue with my free plan to hide it for 24 hours. It never locks you out.
6. If you've already left a review you'll only get a quick thank-you message. Pro and trial accounts, and ad-free subscribers, never see the hour-long window.
